About Us

Good Property Co. is a Southern Beaches–based property business in Hobart’s South East focused on helping everyday people navigate the property journey of creating a home in one of Tasmania’s most beautiful places (we may be biassed) — surrounded by coastlines, bushland and farmland, on the outskirts of Hobart. At Good Property Co. we want housing to feel achievable and improve people's lives. It shouldn’t be intimidating, or reserved for people with unlimited budgets and previous experience.

We also believe that a home should be adding to the quality of your health and life. We value solar passive design in new builds and renovations, with a focus on energy efficiency (who likes big energy bills) and details like low tox materials and products. In the renovation/retrofit space we take pride in turning a tissue box ‘shack’ into a warm and comfortable home. We do all of this with the beautiful environment in mind, opting for sustainable products whenever possible.

Good Property Co was born out of necessity and real life experience. As a young couple facing the realities of a tight housing market and limited resources, we sought to create a beautiful home in a cost effective, environmentally friendly, healthy and resource efficient manner. Which now has little to no energy bills (even without solar installed)!

This required us to navigate land searches, council processes, design, consultants, and construction — often the hard way. Along the way we realised there were many others trying to figure out the same puzzle, and often not making it through. So Good Property Co offers to others the help we wished we’d had - and since foundation in 2020 we have facilitated and executed renovations, subdivisions, DAs, and new builds in the Southern Beaches area of Hobart.
